High Plains Acquisition

By Gordon Walker

The property, an impressive 409,468 square feet that sits on nearly 24 acres, supports our strategy of investing in the industrial sector. Its location, in the High Plains area of Rocky View County immediately north of Calgary International Airport, offers superior access for urban distribution as well as east-west and north (i.e., Edmonton) access/egress. Built in 2021 for Class A industrial use, the building boasts 36 feet of height clearance, 64 dock doors, 274 parking stalls and potential for further expansion. The property is currently home to two multinationals: Conagra Brands, a consumer packaged goods distributor, and Aosom, an e-commerce hard goods and furniture distributor. High Plains is RCG’s fourth acquisition in Alberta and increases our footprint in the Calgary and Rocky View County market to 1.3M square feet.
